Wolves Snag Semi-finals Game 1

New York Wolves jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Nick Galioto hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Edwin Rosario singled, scoring one run, and Lou Galioto singled, scoring two runs. Marshall Kapson earned the win for New York Wolves. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and two runs over six and one-third innings, striking out six and walking three. Keith Buckheit took the loss for Panthers. The reliever went five innings, giving up four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking four. Bobby Standish collected the save. Galioto led New York Wolves with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Jeff Martin, Kevin Decapua, Roger Mischel, Galioto, Rosario, and Billy Dinkelacker each collected one hit for New York Wolves. New York Wolves were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Mischel had the most chances in the field with eight. Lebron led Panthers with two hits in three at bats. Matt Rizzotti and Eddie Murria each drove in one run for Panthers. Sammy Juarez stole two bases. Panthers turned three double plays in the game.
